I needed a retirement card for a colleague at work, and thought these colours would work very well for that kind of card. She is very proud of her Scottish ancestry, hence the argyle pattern (don't think this belongs to any clan), and her birthday is in June hence the roses.
I had used these embossed vellum roses on another project and felt they were plain enough for the very busy argyle.
