PTI July 2012 Blog Hop

I seem to say this every time - beautiful graphic!  These lovely soft colours reminiscent of Spring which will soon be around the corner for us.  For now, we just dream

My take on this was, well, not much stamping, but lots of diecutting.  I have seen Bloom Builders #3 used on several cards, and they always look so effective.  So it arrived in time, last week for me to play with.

What you need
Cardstock - PTI white, summer sunrise, harvest gold, melon berry, berry sorbet, simply chartreuse
Stamps - PTI Thank You
Ink - SU Early Espresso
Die - PTI Bloom Builders #3
Gems - Kaisercraft

Just in case you were womdering, multi-cultural day at school went very well.  Unfortunately for us it fell on my daughter's longest day at school, so she went to music craft and choir in the sari.  But she was so chuffed that she was the only one in a REAL sari.

Moxie Fab Thank you card challenge

Just dropping in with a quick thank you card - kraft seems to be my colour of the day.  I do like the simplicity of this card and really love the black borders against kraft.

What you need
Cardstock - PTI Kraft, black, crean
Stamps - PTI Think Big Favourites #13;  Verve Because of You
Ink - SU Old Olive;  Memento Tuxedo Black
Die - MFT Vertical Greetings
Gems - Kaisercraft

ColourQ #146

I am still here .... a little quiet on the blog but I haven't been idle.  In my quest to use up patterned paper, I have been  busily making Christmas cards (won't be needing to make some for a few years) and next I hope to get to the non-Christmas paper and go for birthday cards.

Love this colour combination - at first I thought 'strawberries', not sure why but that idea didn't pan out. I then saw my white prismacolour pencil languishing in the pencil holder, so decided to colour this rose image.

What you need
Cardstock - PTI kraft, white
Stamps - Wplus9 Ever After
Ink - PTI Fine Linen; SU Real Red, Pear Pizzazz;  Memento Tuxedo Black (and marker)
Prismacolour white
Gems - Kaisercraft

Well. I am off to try and get an adult sari to fit my daughter for Multi Cultural Day at school on Tuesday.  She was quite determined against any suggestion her father or I made, we were even willing to attempt making a traditional Welsh hat, more in keeping with our heritage.  But a friend of mine offered the use of one of her exquisite saris and my daughter was smitten.  I am terrified it will get wrecked.

Cloud 9 - challenge No. 1

There is a new challenge on the block - Cloud 9 celebrates all things Wplus9 and this is the inaugural challenge. And what better way to start than an inspiration photo of a party.

I haven't left myself much time to have a go at this challenge and this set has been sitting on my desk for a while.

What you need
Cardstock - SU white
Stamps - Wplus9 Magical Moments, Filigreed Frames
Ink - SU Cherry Cobbler, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Peach Parfait, Apricot Appeal, Daffodil Delight;  HA Soft Pool
Gems - Kaisercraft

I have been missing from the blog lately - with school holidays and the usual round of appointments, there isn't much time left.  My daughter and I have been having some fun with distress inks and stains and she has loved watching the videos from "Chemistry 101".  I think the appeal is not only the host but also that there is no right or wrong design or perfect positioning which is ideal for someone experimenting with their own style.
