Play Date Cafe Challenge #96

Aren't these just the most gentle feminine colours?  The graphic is truly gorgeous, so that's enough of an invitation for me to get stuck in.  I have combined it with this sketch from Mojo Monday.

And here is the result

Love the idea of the 2 different borders running along side one anther, but the more delicate one at the top gets abit lost with all the pattern around it.  Suggestion to self, it really needs to be 2 bold borders.

What you need
Cardstock - Ivory Shimmer (Canson);  SU Very Vanilla
Patterned Paper - MME Tickled Pink;  SU 6 x 6 DSP collection
Stamps -  HA Sweet Threads
Ink - Brilliance Pearlescent Jade, Coral
Ribbon - PTI Aqua Mist
Thread - SU; DMC 760
Button - PTI

  1. Your borders are so pretty!- perfect card for those gorgeous colours!

  2. Oh, it's gorgeous, and so faithful to the sketch and color challenges! I actually like the subtlety of the two borders--they go together very well. Love that DP, too (I'd love to rummage in your paper drawer!).

  3. When I saw this colour combo, I knew you could do it well, and you have! You rock these pretty pale colours. :-)

  4. Love the combination of soft patterned papers you've chosen--I think the delicate border is a perfect match for them! Gorgeous bow, too!

  5. Cassandra, Note to self ~ that delicate border is what I personally was drawn to! I wouldn't change a thing! Your papers are GORGEOUS and go so well together and I love your absolutely PERFECT bow and twine! This card is a STUNNING take on the two challenges!

  6. Yes, beautiful colours and a beautiful card Cassandra! xx

  7. What a lovely mix of papers and you've used our colors brilliantly! Awesome take on the Mojo sketch, too! Thanks for playing along with us at the Play Date Cafe!

  8. What a beautiful card--love your sketch, but my fav part is the mint ribbon! OHHHHHH! I could have used this last week! MUST GET ME SOME:) LOVE:) THANKS so much for playing along and joining in the fun over at the PDCC:)
