Gold...Hmmm.....
I had a couple of ideas from Pinterest that I was keen to use. But too much gold can just look cheap. Initially the black panel at the bottom was plain, which did please me, but may not have suited the Papertrey challenge, just using an alphabet set.
Well, this is my card, for better or worse (HA, really bad pun)
What you need
Cardstock - PTI black, white
Stamps - PTI Trajan: Monogram Basics, Background Basics: Vines
Ink - Versamark
Embossing Powder: Zing! glitter gold and black
Ribbon - Craft Supplies
Sometimes I really like a bad pun, LOL! This card is elegant, and that bow is marvellous!
ReplyDeleteYou are right... but yours definitely doesn't look cheap. Had to come when I saw it in the gallery to say it was a nice, sophisticated approach to "gold".
ReplyDeleteReally like this! Beautiful and elegant.
ReplyDeleteSuch an elegant design! I love that big shiny gold bow and also the subtle pattern on the black.
ReplyDeleteI like your card, it has a extremely elegant look to it.
ReplyDeleteSo elegant - love the wide ribbon and big bow!
ReplyDeleteStunning, actually!!! But no surprise; this one lept right out at me on the board and I was NOT surprised to see the artist's name.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic touch of gold! This is absolutely gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteStunning and perfect! Just the right amount of gold. And the ribbon sets it off perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThis is really stunning
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteHa, I'm corny enough to love your pun, Cassandra! And I love your card, which had surprises when I clicked to get a closer look. I love the texture on both top and bottom panels and the gold FOREVER is perfection. I agree with you, I'd lose the bow. I think one week for MIM I entered and all I had used of PTI was ink, so you're good, IMHO!!
