WMSCC - July

THEME - ORANGE

This was a fun challenge to do as I would never have considered an orange card, but I will now.  This card went to one of my daughter's class teachers, who I think will appreciate the unconventional colour.

Her present has 3 parts.  First this chocolate box, which I made a few of, based on this Splitcoast Stampers tutorial.  The slider card I left off but I will have a go at it in future.

I have made quite a few calendars heavily inspired (read copied) by Amber from Damask Love.  This girl is SERIOUSLY talented, please have a look around her blog if you haven't come across her yet.  I didn't change things too much, except for seasonal stuff and a couple of traditions.  The landscape calendar cases came from Taylored Expressions, as did the inserts.  I don't know if they are available in Australia, it seems to take a bit of time for things to reach us.  For my next batch I will probably use the downloads provided by Amber for the inserts.

And finally, a box of Christmas cards, made under my DSP rationalisation policy, then decorated a card box.  Lindt easter bunnies definitely come in handy for those bells.

I will be back with other presents and cards for school, they are slowly going out the door, though my daughter was home from school today with a nasty cold.  She is supposed to be swimming in her first club meet tomorrow - don't know if that will happen yet, then she has a solo at the school's "Carols under the Stars" on Sunday.   She has wanted to do this for a while so I hope she is feeling much better by then.

  1. OH, I love it all. The orange card is wonderful. I love the graphic paper as the background for the swirls, and the calendar is lovely. That was a LOT of work! I've made calendars for the last few years, but with photographs rather than stamping which goes much faster.

  4. And that second box is too beautiful to open. The colors are elegant and so is the tag!
