Waltzingmouse July Blog Waltz

How hard can a birthday card be??  I make them all the time....  This one has given my no end of angst in terms of colour and design.  This is what has evolved. I turned a little flourish into a frame in one of my favourite colour combinations.  I possibly should have matted it on red to be a bit more striking.  No ribbon but plenty of bling.

What you need
Cardstock - SU white
Stamps - WMS Fancy Phrases, Holiday Label No. 14, Vintage Labels 18
Ink - Brilliance Pearlescent Jade, Rocket Red
Gemstones - Kaisercraft

  3. No, it's perfect just as it is--you always do CAS so well! I love the inventive idea of making the border from the flourish, now I have to go back to my various flourish stamps and see what can be done with them. Thanks for the inspiration! Oh, and I like the way you worked the bling into the design!

  9. Wow, Cassandra, I absolutely love how you created that frame with the little flourish. I would never have thought of doing that. I bet it took ages to get everything lined up and perfect with having two sizes of frame. Superb!
