Summer (winter) Card Camp - week 2

What a couple of weeks we have had.  We have all been sick with different illnesses and of course, over school holidays.  So I completely missed the first week of Card Camp, but just managed to register at the last minute.

I wanted to participate as so many of my favourite designers were involved, and I have learnt alot particularly this week with a completely new technique to me which I am very keen to try.  Other things you seem to know instinctively but it is great to have it explained why it looks right, not being a graphic designer by trade.  Certainly worth it if you were considering the course in the future.

Here is this weeks colour combination (hope I am allowed to use the graphic..)

Slightly hard to think of summer in the middle of winter in the southern hemisphere, but they are very cheerful, happy colours.  Here is my contribution

Again, forgot the sentiment and possibly should have left it off as it didn't stamp properly (maybe a tag would have worked, oh well).  Look forward to the bonus combinations tomorrow.

  2. Well, today was a bit like a Summer's day here in Brisbane (not a Brisbane Summer, but still very warm), blue skies, warm breeze, sunny, and all in the middle of Winter, delicious!

  6. We all need to take a break now and then. Your card is just lovely...I like the sentiment. I tend to always leave mine off - I never know the reason to give so I do the sentiment when I give it away. I think it's just perfect. Fabulous coloring.
