Tis the season for birthdays ...

After 6 months of almost no cards for school friends, we have a rush in the second half of the year.  I thought these colours would be perfect for a friend whose birthday is next weekend, at the movies.  I can't believe what these kids get to do for parties, it isn't a big cinema so I imagine this group will have it exclusively.  They are seeing "The Sapphires" an Australian movie and dinner will be served during the session! WOW

Anyway, this little friend isn't really a girly girl, so have kept the design pretty simple.  There are grey flowers behind the sentiment but are quite hard to see.

What you need
Cardstock - SU white, black
Patterned paper - ? SU Pumpkin Pie polka dot;  MME Lush 2 turquiose flocked stripe
Stamps - TE Friendship Blooms;  HA Many Birthday Messages
Ink - SU Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie;  Memento Tuxedo Black, London Fog
Gems - Kaisercraft

This is another card I did for a little friend's birthday yesterday.  She turned 5 hence the slightly younger theme.

This set is from Clear and Simple stamps 1 or 2 releases ago, something so different and great for a few little girls in our life.

  1. Both birthday cards are just lovely. I think the sentiment on the first card is super. And they sound like they're going to have a great time. Love the little banner on the image in the second card - great fun!

  2. Sweet birthday cards Cassandra, love how you used the colourQ colors! thanks for joining us this week at the colourQ and sharing your card.

  3. Both beautiful cards, the sentiment on your colourQ is so fun. Thank you so much for joining us this week at the colourQ!

  4. I think I would have put those colours in the "too hard" basket but your card turned out great! I enjoyed going back through your blog this morning and catching up on lots I have missed lately (and faveing some lovelies!) Only 2 more weeks and I get to experience those 27 degree days for myself!

  5. BOTH are FAB, Cassandra, in their own special ways! Your creation with the colors on the first one is so FUN and the little gorl with the banner on the second card is Darling! PS THX for the sweet comments on my blog

  6. Oh, I missed this post, in fact I haven't looked at any blogs for over a week, so it isn't just you! ;-) I love the first card, and the second has pride of place on the birthday card shelf!
