Two for ... er ... Sunday

I don't have many Easter stamps, as we don't give Easter cards.  So the one stamp set I do have gets rather a hammering.

The fridge is full of Lindt chocolate bunnies, or maybe they are multiplying in there.  Alot of it seems to have come back from Melbourne, a surprise that it survived a 2 hour plane trip.

What you need
Cardstock - PTI Kraft
Patterned paper - PTI Men of Life
Stamps  - WMS Spring Baskets
Ink - SU Early Espresso (and marker), Poppy Parade
Gems - Kaisercraft

These are such lovely fresh colours and this card came together surprisingly easily as well.  The peony images from the PTI anniversary set are just so versatile and a pleasure to use.

What you need
Cardstock - SU So Saffron, Peach Parfait, white
Stamps - PTI Pretty Peonies
Ink - SU Peach Parfait,  Early Espresso;  Memento Angel Pink
Ribbon - SU taffeta
Pearls - Kaisercraft

  1. Adorable card, love how you paper pieced the eggs to highlight them! Saw your card at CAS-ual Fridays.

  2. Two beautiful cards! I really love the paper-piecing on the Easter card. I'm currently trying to think outside the square on that challenge since I'm pretty sure I don't even have ONE Easter set, LOL! Glad to hear the chocolate made it home from Melbourne, and I bet you got a gigantic cuddle when it was delivered. ;-)

  3. Well, if you only have one set, that one is the right one to have--I love the eggs the way you have done them here! Very cool to paper-piece and add bling to just a couple of them. And you do the perimeter frame thing SO well--I am always forgetting to try that technique. Love the second card too--such a beautiful patterned paper you have made with the peony. Glad you have your daughter back, bearing chocolate!

  4. These are both wonderful, especially the way you've framed the corner of your first card with the eggs. Beautiful masking! I love how soft the peonies look on the second card, and the way you highlighted each with a pearl center. Thanks for joining us again at the ColourQ!
