PTI April 2012 Blog Hop

Don't you just love this graphic!  All these wonderful old world patterns but so up to date.

My take on this one was to imitate wallpaper of that era - very busy and symmetrical.  So this is what I came up with.  I was trying to give the effect of a mantelpiece with the wallpaper running up to it.  Not sure how successful that was but I do love the colours.

What you need
Cardstock - PTI white, spring rain, simply chartreuse
Stamps - PTI Damask Designs, Mat Stack 5 collection
Ink - SU Regal Rose,  Rose Red, Bashful Blue (and marker);  Memento Tuxedo Black
Die - PTI mat stack 5
Gems - Kaisercraft

ABC online

Today was a public holiday in Australia and New Zealand for ANZAC day,  a day where we remember those who fought in WW1 in Europe and subsequently. The dawn services saw a record number of people of all ages attending, which is very heartening.

  1. I love seeing all the different takes on this blog hop. Yours is wonderful! I shy away from trying to create backgrounds, but you are inspiring me to make an effort!

  2. Oh yes, it absolutely looks like wallpaper--clever you to use the Damask stamp! And you even have a chair rail!

Greetings to you on ANZAC day--I suppose our equivalent would be Memorial Day which is celebrated on the last Monday of May.
