Papertrey Ink January 2012 Blog Hop

I know it's only meant to be 1 favourite project but I have picked 2.  I loved the effect of the quatrefoil die white on white but really love the colour scheme of the second.

It isn't very clear but I embossed some of the flowers from Rosie Posie onto the white cardstock.  In real life it is much more apparent.

What you need
Cardstock - PTI white; Shimmer Aqua (? Canson)
Stamps - PTI Rosie Posie, Happy Day
Ink - Brilliance Pearlescent Jade;  Memento Tuxedo Black; Versamark
Die - PTI Quatrefoil
Embossing Powder - Coloriser (clear)
Gems - Kaisercraft

Today is Australia Day,  a day on which we celebrate the nationhood of our young country.  Unfortunately, with the days of heavy rain we have had,  alot of events have been cancelled.  But I am sure there will be cane toad racing or yabbie catching happening somewhere in Brisbane.

  1. Haappy Australia Day, Cassandra! LOVE the rosie posie - I coud see it! - and that die is to die for! I wish I had bought it now! LOVE the color combo a lot!

  2. Happy Australia Day!
I love your so pretty. Isn't that die just amazing?
    Great job!

  3. Oh my - off to get my as yet unused quatrefoil die out. I need to make things as pretty as yours.
    Happy Australia Day xxx

  4. Loving the colors you used! And the embossing under the die cut quatrefoil is inspired! Too cool!

  5. Oh I do love your cards and can see why the dilemma on choosing just one! Love the quatrefoil. By the way, what is "yabby catching"? Happy Australia Day!!

  6. I have to say that I love all three cards, oldies and newbies.

  7. Happy Australia Day, Cassie! I love this new card. BEAUTIFUL!

  8. What a great idea to combine two favorites! I love the tone-on-tone look of the Rosie Posie background, and those colors are wonderful. Oh, and I'd love to know more about the cane toad racing and the yabbie catching!

  9. I love all three of your cards.

  10. Great job combining your two favorite 2011 cards together! I love the effect of the quarterfoil on white, too...I'm gonna have to give that a shot!

  11. I'm quite sure I NEED the quatrefoil die. I love your new take on the two previous cards!

  12. What a perfect way to integrate the two ideas into one beautiful card! You are making it very hard for me to continue to resist the quatrefoil cover plate...
