Don't you just love this graphic! All these wonderful old world patterns but so up to date.
My take on this one was to imitate wallpaper of that era - very busy and symmetrical. So this is what I came up with. I was trying to give the effect of a mantelpiece with the wallpaper running up to it. Not sure how successful that was but I do love the colours.

Today was a public holiday in Australia and New Zealand for ANZAC day, a day where we remember those who fought in WW1 in Europe and subsequently. The dawn services saw a record number of people of all ages attending, which is very heartening.
I love seeing all the different takes on this blog hop. Yours is wonderful! I shy away from trying to create backgrounds, but you are inspiring me to make an effort!
