November Waltzingmouse SOAP CASE challenge

There were so many absolutely divine cards to choose from in this month's SOAP blogs but this one, from Day One was a standout for me, minimal but SO elegant - and framed, just how I like my cards.  Now I have a use for all the foil cardboard leftover from daycare and school projects.  I may CASE this one for my Christmas cards if I get to them too late - just to let you know in advance Julia .

Here is my version of Julia's design, got my new stamps just in time.  I really didn't want to change anything as St. Nick looks so regal in blue.  But I found red first and used the Nutcracker instead.  Love how the light bounces off the foil.

What you need
Cardstock - Bazzill Basics white;  red metallic cardboard
Stamps - WMS Nutcracker Sweet;  Nordic Winter
Ink - SU Real Red
Gems - Kaisercraft

August WMS SOAP

There were so many beautiful cards to CASE from this month's SOAP, but settled on Jennifer Holmes' cards - AGAIN, because as she said, these would be easy to mass produce but the effect is stunning.  These were the 2 that caught my eye.

I have taken elements from both, they are just so elegant.

As my embellishment wasn't that bold, it really needed the small red swirl in the bottom right hand corner (photography doesn't do the colours justice).

What you need
Cardstock - PTI white
Stamps - WMS Fancy Flourishes and Scallops and Dots; Oval Classic Frames;  Cameo to go
Ink - Versacolour silver;  SU Real Red;  Memento Tuxedo Black
Gems - Kaisercraft

June Waltzingmouse SOAP Challenge

Almost missed the deadline for this one - that's what happens when you procrastinate over what card to CASE and believe me  the choice was difficult.  I eventually settled on another gem from Jennifer Holmes using the doily sets.

It is simplicity itself, in colour and design.  Here is my take on it.

I already had these colours out for this weeks WMS challenge so to save time, stuck with them.  Thanks Claire for another great month of inspiration.

What you need
Cardstock - PTI White
Stamps - WMS Large Doily, Gingham and Co, Fancy Phrases
Ink - SU Pear Pizzazz, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette, Early Espresso
Ribbon - SU Pear Pizzazz taffeta
Brads - SU, Kaisercraft
