Dynamic Duos #33

I don't believe I have posted the Christmas cards I did for my mother - all 55 of them!  And fortuitous that it fits with this weeks Dynamic Duos challenge, but without the music option.

We had plans to use other stamps but just ran out of time.  However, I love the gold on black with little pops of red glitter.  I had to incorporate Fishtail Flags somehow, just love those dies.

What you need
Cardstock - PTI black, cream;  Canson metallic gold paper
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Stamps - PTI Stylish Sentiments Holiday
Die - MFT Fishtail Flag Stax;  TE Holly Leaves
Red glitter glue

The last of the WMS Christmas card Challenge cards

November - "Brighten Up"

I have used this idea before for a published card (digital version of Paper Crafts), The doily stamps are to imitate the flame and they are glitter embossed, which is a little hard to see.

What you need
Cardstock - American Crafts
Stamps - WMS Large Doily, Say it Loud Winter Holiday
Ink - Versamark
Embossing Powder - Glitter Gold; Judi Kins Rockin Red;  Filigree White
Birthday Candle

December - GREEN

Green had me a little stumped for a while.  I knew I wanted some stitching on it, and wanted to try for an all green card.  Well, you don't count white do you!  I had decided on the sentiment but no dies I own went with it.

So, the final draft has a "framed" background, jewelled of course, with a pretty flourish die from MFT.

What you need
Cardstock - Bazzill Basics
Stamps - WMS Compliments of the Season 1 and 2
Ink - SU Pear Pizzazz, Gumball Green
Die - MFT Framing Flourishes
Thread - DMC
Gems - Kaisercraft

The Paper Players #125

An unexpected day at home, so what is a girl to do but make cards, oh, and write letters for said cards.  This is a wonderful colour combination - it reeks simplicity (to me) and that's what I did.

I popped up the Pool Party bauble as it looked very flat, I guess as it isn't a strong colour compared with the other 2.

What you need
Cardstock - PTI Kraft;  SU Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party, white
Stamps - SU Merry and Type;  WMS Compliments of the Season 2
Ink - SU Crumb Cake, Pool Party
Markers - SU Crumb Cake;  Memento Rhubarb Stalk
Seam Binding - SU Pool Party
Gem - Kaisercraft

Case This Sketch #8 and ColourQ #166

I came across this challenge blog a few weeks ago, and have only just got the chance to have a go.  I am sure I will have plenty of inspiration for next years Christmas cards with the number I have done this year.

I am not entirely happy with this one.  I think the sentiment is too large but when you are running out of time, needs must.  I have seen so many cards of late using negative die cuts that I wanted to have a go as the effect is stunning.

What you need
Cardstock - SU white, Rich Razzleberry
Stamps - HA Sparkle with Happiness
Ink - SU Rich Razzleberry
Die - TE Snowflake Border
Gems - Kaisercraft

For my second card, I didn't want to miss ColourQ again especially with all these dazzling blues.  Went with simplicity this time, which could be good for mass production next year.

I had a play with the new SU colours a few weeks ago and always thought that Night of Navy couldn't be bettered.  But it can, I love this new navy, just need to remember to get a refill, SOON.

What you need
Cardstock - SU white
DSP - SU Brights Collection (Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point)
Stamps - HA Very Merry Christmas
Ink - SU Midnight Muse
Marker - SU Pool Party
Die - MFT Fishtail Flag Stax
Gems - Kaisercraft

Cloud 9 December Blog Hop

Nordic Christmas

The elements I picked out were the snowflakes and the wallpaper background.  I combined the small stamps of the set on 1 block to give a regular pattern.

What you need
Cardstock - PTI white;  SU Real Red
Stamps - Wplus9 Christmas Wishes
Ink - SU Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler
Snowflake punch - Martha Stewart
Gems - Kaisercraft

Another weekend gone, and now all dance concerts are out of the way.  The company did a beautiful job of their version of "The Sleeping Beauty", but I think they are glad it's over.  So now to Christmas and the organisation that goes with it - one of my favourite times of the year.

Play Date Cafe #159

I am pretty sure my daughter had a tricycle like this.  She would zoom around the garage on it, and when she outgrew sitting on it she would stand on the plate between the back wheels and use it as a scooter.

So I just had to have a go at this one - for old times sake.

I know this is a sympathy stamp set but it is just so versatile.  I have used it on Christmas cards, and now,  a Just Because card.

What you need
Cardstock - SU black, real red, white
Stamps - PTI With Sympathy, Mega Mixed Messages
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black;  SU real red
Black ribbon
Frame - SU Hodgepodge Hardware
Gems - Kaisercraft
